Closure torque

Distinguish the closing input from the opening measurement and record the conditions.

Torque results are useful when samples share a clear history. Record how the package was closed, how long it waited and what the tester measured. A capping head setting and a later removal reading describe different parts of the process. Use the test plan to keep those values separate and to decide when a second check, such as leakage or tamper-band opening, is needed.

Detailed reading

For cap torque testing, read Cap Torque Testing: Application, Removal and Test Conditions. It provides the detailed checks for this part of the decision.

Always verify final production settings against the controlled supplier engineering drawing and qualified package specification.
