FIELD GUIDE / CMADC
Capping machinery
Match the closing operation to the package, then define a trial that covers the whole line.
Start with the closure action. A pre-threaded screw cap, a press-on closure and a roll-on wine cap require different ways of applying force. A machine description alone cannot tell you whether a particular bottle and closure will seal. Before comparing offers, identify the cap geometry, the bottle support and the checks that will decide whether a trial passes.
Choose a route
| Starting point | What to check |
|---|---|
| Selecting a machine | Use the cap, neck finish and closure method to narrow the mechanism before discussing output. |
| Changing a dispenser | Treat a new pump as a package change requiring drawings, handling trials and functional checks. |
| Adjusting a roll-on head | Set top-load pressure, thread-forming rollers and pilfer-proof tuck rollers in sequence for unthreaded aluminium shells. |
